In 2024, SolarFuture delivered an 11 MW solar power plant to Grenaa District Heating through two stages – First stage was delivered in 2023.
The solar park was established in two phases and today consists of approximately 19,000 solar panels distributed across three transformer stations. It forms an integral part of Grenaa District Heating’s ambitious energy optimization plan for the development of district heating based on renewable energy.
In the switching station, a park control system was established to handle communication between the solar park and the utility company. Furthermore, the plant was connected to the client’s large SCADA system, enabling Grenaa District Heating to continuously monitor the plant’s production and condition.
