Øresund Bridge, Stage 3

Stage 3 of the Øresund Bridge’s overall solar investment was completed in May 2023. The solar PV system is installed on Peberholm, a hub in the Øresund where the Danish and Swedish power grids meet—where considerations for the motorway, railway and airport must be integrated into the project, and where special environmental requirements apply, as all of Peberholm has been designated an EU Natura 2000 protected area.

The solar PV system is part of the Øresund Bridge Consortium’s strategy to reduce CO2 emissions and part of their journey towards climate-neutral operations by 2030.
