SolarFuture ApS delivers 10 MW solar park for Topsil GlobalWafers A/S
On Monday, January 6, SolarFuture ApS commissioned a 10 MW solar park for Topsil GlobalWafers A/S in Frederikssund. The handover was celebrated with an official inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Denmark’s Minister of Taxation, Rasmus Stoklund (S), and the Mayor of Frederikssund, Tina Stauning (S).
Sustainable solutions with a twist
At a time when sustainability and green energy are high on the agenda, the solar park at Topsil GlobalWafers A/S stands out by integrating environmental and social considerations for employees and the surrounding community. In addition to the installation of the solar park itself, a shelterbelt will be planted around the facility to promote biodiversity and local ecosystems. Furthermore, a walking path will be established, providing both employees and the public with a unique opportunity to use the area as a recreational space for reflection and relaxation.
A step towards a climate-neutral Denmark
This milestone is not only an important event for Topsil GlobalWafers A/S but also a remarkable and inspiring step forward for sustainable energy in Denmark. The company has already achieved its goal of 100% renewable energy (RE100) a full 25 years ahead of the original 2050 deadline.
Quote from SolarFuture’s management:
“We are incredibly proud of this project,” says Mads Christensen, CEO of SolarFuture. “This solution for Topsil GlobalWafers demonstrates how we can deliver more than just solar panels – we can create holistic solutions that benefit both the environment and the people who work there.”
Quote from Topsil GlobalWafers:
“We are extremely proud and pleased with this project and the collaboration on the solar park here at Topsil! It enables us to fulfill our RE100 target, ensuring 100% sustainable energy for our company. With the combination of planting and the possibility to walk around the solar park, it also becomes a more integrated and attractive part of Topsil,” says Theis Leth Sveigaard, CTO at Topsil GlobalWafers. “We will benefit greatly from the solar park in many ways.”
